Happy Animals Rescue and Rehabilitations Adoption Policies for adopting. Before you are considering adopting a animal you need to really sit down and think about it. Adopting a animal is like having a baby. There are a few questions you need to sit down and ask yourself. For example: Can you make the time commitment ownership requires? Do you have the financial resources needed to care for the animal? Will your lifestyle accommodate the animal? Owning an animal is a long-term commitment. It is important to remember that most animals have a life span of 5 to 15 years. Before getting a animal, make sure you fully understand the commitment required. When considering the financial commitment, you must take into account the cost of food, grooming and providing medical care for your new animal. From feeding and exercising to spending quality time. Your animal will demand regular attention from you. Educating yourself about the responsibilities of an animal’s ownership and carefully considering your life can help ensure you and your animal have a long and lasting relationship.
